A WINNING COMBINATION
Maureen (Mo) and Byron Williams are partners in every sense of the word. Byron is intently focused on the race teams while Mo concentrates on the breeders and loft management. Byron has been in the sport for over 21 years but Mo's enthusiasm and dedication to the sport arose from the tragedy of losing their entire New Orleans loft of breeders to hurricane Katrina in August, 2005, and the fire that destroyed their loft and flyers in Slidell later the same year.
The story, and WFL could have ended here, but instead, it is only the beginning!
Knowing how much the birds meant to Byron, Mo was determined to support her husband in his struggle to rebuild a World Class Racing Loft. Their partnership in the sport and construction of the new loft in Slidell, Louisiana began. With Byron's experience and Mo's determination, it wasn't long before the William's Family Loft was rebuilt; bigger and better than ever.
Along their journey many new friendships were formed. The family was brought together with a purpose. The birds captured their hearts. And tragedy was turned into triumph!
