Here is another Super Chick in the
Williams Family Loft. Aviatrix is a 1st place combine winner in a 200
mile race. She is the only child bred from "Howard Hughes" Au 06 FFL 318
(double bred grandson of Aviator) mated to "New Day" AU 06 GFL 513
(direct dtr. of Millennium). She is true perfection. A real beauty with
lots of personality.
The view will be beautiful for them and they will have more of an open loft. Heck, I like being in there myself. Our twins team will be called , "Poppie and Peanut Loft". Together they will be able to enter 5 birds in each race. They have their own breeders to build their own team. Brandon will be more of the handler and Byron Jr. more of the recorder and overseer. Now that Mr.Byron (whom most will hear me call "Leroy" --Bad Bad Leroy Brown, during the race season) and I have our new family of birds established, we are back to having our own teams. I couldn't be happier. I have the hens and he has the cocks. I have served him notice that I plan to fill our wall with pink plaques!! I hope I'm right. He may get some Blue ones....that is, if my hens let the cocks go in first. Ha! Ha! I guess you can see how it is at our house....... This will be the most exciting season yet!
WHAT I LEARNED: A true test of someone's spirit is in their giving! I just have to give a shout out of praise to all of the fanciers who reach out to help others, by donating birds to Fund Raisers for club projects and scholarships for students wanting to further their education and for more critical issues such as helping people with health issues. What a strange but wonderful tool we've been given to help others. And in closing, it is always important to remember why you gave.....regardless of the bid amounts.
PIGEON TALK: Just two years ago we were finishing our new loft and it looks like we got the building fever again!! Yep, that's right, Byron the Builder has added on to make room for our boys to have their own racing section. We are moving the breeders to the West Wing facing the Palm Trees.
