AU 07 CBL 368 RC "WINN DIXIE"
This super breeder is "WINN DIXIE". We named him after the Winn Dixie
grocery store chain's red check mark logo and we like the word Winn.
This bird was selected for us by "David Scott of Crosslanders". He is an
outstanding grandson of "1245" . He is closely related to over 400 1st
place winners. And what a super bird he is. We will try out his
youngsters and hope to add more wins to that 400.
WHAT I LEARNED:
It doesn't hurt to give credit where credit is due! Prehaps we are
oddballs, but we actually brag on and thank fanciers who have sold
us or given us outstanding birds. Why not? Besides, we consider many
people in the sport to be our friends and it feels natural to do
that. There are no secrets here. When birds come through for us, we
shout it out!!!!
PIGEON TALK:
I got the biggest kick out a few construction guys out working one
morning on one my training tosses!!! When I was unloading my 50 million
crates, just kidding....3 , these guys were very curious and checking it
out. Boy, when I released those champs, the guys started shouting, "
Palomas, Palomas, Palomas!" You could swear that I was in some kind of
arena. I wish that I would have shouted back, "OLE", but I just waved
and took off to try to beat my birds back home. Never a dull moment.
