FEATURED FEATHERS: GFL 765-2008 "URIJAH"

Named after UFC fighter Urijah Faber. Perfect body with much attitude. This pigeon is compact and tough. Hard to hold in the hand and fierce in every way. He is from the Creator and Golden Hofkens Bloodlines. We are very proud to have this kind of pigeon. He is truly something to behold.
 

PIGEON TALK: Well...thank God its racing season. We normally consider the 1st half of YB season to be training tosses for our birds,but we are doing better than normal so far. We hope that this is a great sign. In addition to this busy season I am assisting some of our club members with promoting our sport. We have been lucky enough to secure a booth at the Parish State Fair where many 4-H club members and Parish Officials will visit. This is such a wonderful opportunity to really show off and educate the public on what we enjoy doing. We are sure that we will get some good out of it!!! I will be sending all photos to the AU so I am sure that it will be made public for viewing. Wish us much success!!!

WHAT I LEARNED: Sometimes you have to put your hack feathers down and admit you need help....For some reason it seems that time has gotten very short and the to do lists have gotten longer. I have to give my husband credit for taking charge of young birds this season because without him the birds would have sat out this season. Fortunately, I still do get to train and be with the birds on the weekend. Next year we will breed smaller teams and I am promised to have my own team. I am selfish...I want my own stuff. Its just more fun that way!!!
