The loft is L-Shaped and contains six - 6' x 8' sections, as well as an 8' x 8' feed and storage room. All walls are oak panels and the floors are covered with wood floor grates. Each section is complete with skylights.
After experiencing serious damage from both a hurricane and a fire, we chose to use "Hardi panel" siding for the exterior walls because it is fire and moisture proof.
The left wing of the loft is the breeder section. Each of the two breeder suites is equipped with breeding cages and slanted box perches.
The right wing is for the race teams; both young birds and old birds. These sections are furnished with slanted box perches as well as V-perches.
The loft construction was complimented by a fully landscaped tropical theme before welcoming the birds to "The Grand Palms Pigeon Resort".
